Holoholokai Beach Park

Holoholokai Beach Park
Known throughout Hawaii Big Island for its impressive lava formations and awesome coral structures. Holoholokai Beach is to be found within the Mauna Lani Resort and boasts toilets, picnicking facilities, a barbecue area and a pathway leading to the famous Puako Petroglyphs, which you will discover some truly ancient Hawaiian art work
This is not your typical picture-perfect white sand beach. This rocky strip is a walk through prehistoric Hawaii, told in the words of ancient art. The beach is connected to the Malama Petroglyph Trail, the largest collection of petroglyphs in the state. With a good eye, you can spot more than 3,000 of these age-old drawings etched onto larger-than-life boulders.

The park area is a great day for families looking for a fun day out--picnic tables, BBQ grills, lots of shady trees, and miles of grassy park to play in. Restrooms and shower rooms are also conveniently located around the park.
